Over the last few seasons, Bryan Fox has been putting one single Grip Stick in between his bindings, claiming that it's perfect for scraping snow off of your boot before strapping in. When you scrape your boot on your high-back, your baseplate fills up with snow, and Bryan's use of the Grip Stick avoided this issue. Inspired by this usage, we set out to design a piece of traction that specifically performs this scraping function, at the highest possible level. After numerous prototypes and fun-filled days of R&D, The Scromper was born.
Our soft rubbery plastic has been molded into the ultimate boot scraping tool. Give it a try, and we believe that The Scromper will be your back foot’s new best friend. It scrapes. It stomps. It scromps!
Why Scrape your boot?
When you don't scrape the snow off the bottom of your boot you develop an uncomfortable layer of ice chunks between your foot and your binding. This leads to foot fatigue, pressure points, and loss of board control. In some instances this can lead to lower leg discomfort, sore knees, misaligned hips, and lower back pain. An unscrapped boot can cause foot distortion, including corns, hammer toes, bunions, toe nail fungus, and webbed feet. Other side effects may include shin splints, varicose veins, hernias, irritable bowel syndrome, loose stool, and aggressive diarrhea. Some unscrapped boot users may experience mild dizziness, loss of appetite, slight nausea, lack of powder days, loss of friendship, and uncontrollable night terrors. Bottom line, get The Scromper, scrape your boot, and enjoy your life.

Crab Grab is our small family brand that makes traction and grip for snowboards.
They are based in Portland, OR from September to May and then on Mt. Hood from June to August. They hope to inspire snowboarders to make every grab count, and to put an end to foot slippage forever.
Perhaps someday they'll have an office, an 800 number, and real business hours. Until then: bare with them. They produce limited runs of products – so get 'em while they're hot.
